By Bartholomew Madukwe
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Aderibigbe Adedeji, and other legal pundits across the country, attended the thanksgiving service at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Anglican Communion Marina, Lagos, as part of events marking the commencement of the new legal year.
Also in attendance was the Diocesan Bishop of Lagos Church of Nigeria, Rt. Reverend Dr. Humphrey Olumakaiye.
Speaking about the event, Adedeji stated that "this year's ceremony was particularly special and memorable considering the unusual mood and scary circumstances of the day and all over the world.
"What we used to take for granted has become so special and emotional, even the Distinguished Honourable Judges could not resist dancing flamboyantly and without restrictions to the altar for thanksgiving".
Members of the Bench were led by Justice Modupe Onyeabor, Admin Judge, Ikeja Judicial Division, who represented the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Opeyemi Oke, while members of the Bar were led by Chief Bolaji Ayorinde SAN.
